RIZE’s client is looking to recruit an Optical Technical Trainer (Portuguese Speaker) (m/f/d) anywhere in Europe.

Your Responsibilities:

• Responsible for delivering instructor led technical trainings on transport technologies (SDH, DWDM, OTN,)
• Planning & executing Training sessions for upskilling the team on required grey areas
• Deliver Advance level Class room training on optical products
• Responsible for creating content for training
• Conduct web-based training classes
• Proficiency with various ‘office’ software applications including Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
• Ability to analyze, trouble-shoot and resolve problems
• Motivated self-starter with excellent time management skills and an ability to work from broad guidelines with minimal supervision
• A working knowledge of transport and switching systems for telecommunications applications and Optical Networking
• Basic understanding in data communications, UNIX SUN/Oracle as well as experience working in an IP network

Your Profile:

• Must have the ability to communicate excellently in English language both verbal and written
• Must have the ability to deliver seamless Virtual trainings using Webex
• Good knowledge of SDH/ DWDM / OTN / ASON theory/operations
• Worked intensively on NMS/EMS
• Working experience on various optical products
• Exposure to advanced Optical Networks including ROADMs/WSS, Control Plane, OTN switching, Flexi Grid systems & Submarine Systems
• Extensive Performance Monitoring & Alarms analysis on SDH, DWDM, & OTN
• Working knowledge of layer 2 data communication protocols (Ethernet, MPLS, MPLS-TP, VLANs, etc.)
• Bachelor’s degree in technical field (e.g. Engineering, Computer Science) from a four-year college or university with four to eight years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Good knowledge of the operation of fiber optic transport and/or switching equipment.
• Proven problem-solving experience and expertise
• Problem solving experience with SONET/SDH equipment, Carrier Ethernet equipment or associated fiber optic facilities
