RIZE’s client is looking to recruit a Network Engineer Microwave Link Engineering (m/f/d) in Düsseldorf or Backnang, Germany on a 6-month contract basis.
Your Profile:
Top 3 Skills:
• need to have experience with link design, link budget calculation and usage of the following tools: IQ Link, Cramer & TTWOS (or similar workflow systems based on BMC Remedy)
- Knowledge of current SIAE microwave product series is a plus
- Business fluent in English and intermediate in German (preferably B1 or better)
Key Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in the area of microwave link planning for mobile operators
- Knowledge of current SIAE microwave product series
- Experienced user of IQ-Link & CRAMER
- Experienced user of TTWOS / BMC-Remedy
- Excellent knowledge of MS office and strong with tools, scripts & automation
- Experience with applying for frequency licenses at regulator (preferably BNetzA)
- German language skills are a plus (preferably B1 level or better)
- Business fluent in English
Your Responsibilities:
- Microwave link design in mobile backhaul domain (short haul)
- Contribute to project specific work instructions and design guideline
- Evaluation of site & path survey protocols including line of sight assessment (map based)
- Link design and link budget calculation for new links and link extensions
- Frequency analysis (propagation and interference)
- Low level design for traffic, DCN, IP, VLAN and synchronization
- Creation of red pen drawings for microwave sites
- Preparation of work-orders for site acquisition, site surveys & LOS test
- Detailed planning of decommissioning activities for obsolete links
- Assessment of costs and feasibility for new links and extensions
- Selection of hardware, software, features and licenses per link (equipment list
- Preparation and delivery of commissioning documents (e.g. commissioning datasheet)
- Maintenance of relevant databases (frequencies & links: IQ-Link; network: CRAMER)
- Workflow management and progress reporting (TTWOS)
- Frequency application at German regulatory authority (BNetzA)
