• 6 years’ experience in transmission (MW and fiber) planning
• Previous experience with microwave equipment
• Full proficiency and expertise in MW engineering technics (Link budget, interference, capacity planning,)
• Working experience on Aircom connect planning tool.
• Experience with IP transmission network

• If the candidate has experience in project planning and forecasting and deploying MW transmission network for mobile broadband (XPIC) , it will be a plus

  A bachelor degree in the Telecommunications Industry or related technical field .

• South African nationality is preferred

  Job Responsibilities

  • HLD update
  • LLD preparation
  • Update and maintain Transmission database (including design milestones)
  • Lead discussion and requirements definitions with customer Transmission senior engineers and SME
  • Internal Transmission engineering guidelines document updates
  • Weekly reporting for Transmission Engineering Department

  • Support of Transmission Deployment departments

    Tools knowledge:

  • Path loss, Aircom Connect planning tool or equivalent industry standard tools for Microwave networks engineering
  • Google Earth
  • MapInfo
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Own Laptop computer in working condition
