Years of Experience: 3 years of direct and relevant experience in Cloud Engineering or Administration

Education Level: Minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Networking or Information System Security or related Degree. Five or more years of additional direct and relevant experience can be substituted for Degree requirement

Required Skills

• Experience using/configuring at least one of the following:
• Private IaaS technology (i.e. VMWare, OpenStack, etc.)
• Configuration management / orchestration technology (i.e. Ansible, Puppet, etc.)
• Scripting in at least one programming language (i.e. Bash, Python, Go, etc.)

Preferred Skills

• Configuration managing, installing, configuring, deploying, troubleshooting, and administering Red Hat Director-deployed Red Hat OpenStack Platform.
• Config managing, installing, configuring, deploying, troubleshooting, and administering Red Hat OpenShift Enterprise PaaS installations, installed on top of OpenStack
• Using at least one system-level monitoring solution (i.e. Nagios, Zabbix, etc.)
• Using at least one application-level monitoring solution (i.e. ELK, Splunk, etc.)
• Experience working with software defined networking

Required Certifications

The candidate must have one of the following certificates:

• OpenStack Foundation Certified OpenStack Administrator
• Red Hat Certified System Administrator in Red Hat OpenStack

Preferred Certifications

• CompTIA A+
• CompTIA Network+
• CompTIA Security+
• Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHEL7)
• Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHEL7)
• Red Hat Certified System Administrator in Red Hat OpenStack
• Red Hat Certified Engineer in Red Hat OpenStack
• Red Hat Certificate Architect (with Cloud or DevOps related certificates of expertise)
